MYSORE PRACTICE

 

A unique approach to learning & practicing Yoga.

In a Mysore room each student learns & practices the series at their own pace, level and unique circumstances, with individual support & guidance from the teacher and the energy of the group. This is the traditional method of learning and practicing Ashtanga vinyasa yoga.

For us at Yoga Circle, this is an opportunity to make the practice accessible for everyone and to create an environment where every body is welcome, can learn the sequence at their own rhythm and tailor it to their specific needs & circumstances in the moment.

A Mysore class is characterized by an atmosphere of silence & calmness that promotes a meditative state.

The schedule is flexible. That means, you can start your practice at any time during class hours.

You are welcome regardless of age or experience. If you prefer, we also offer introductory workshops that can help you become familiar with this method, or you may want to follow a led class.

In the beginning your first practices will seem short(ish). Don't worry, as you continue practicing you will be guided to learn the sequence and your practice will extend. Be patient, enjoy the process, and let the practice do its work.
